Police say a man robbed a couple in Bell County on October 7th.
Kevin Perkins faces robbery and sexual abuse charges.

Police say Perkins and another man who had a weapon threatened two people to accomplish a theft.

Police say Perkins also made sexual contact with the woman without her consent.

The other man who allegedly helped Perkins is not named in the court documents.

Kentucky State Police investigators say a man in Knox County hired a teenage babysitter and had sex with her.

James McCafferty, 32, of Indian Creek, admitted to the assault.

McCafferty told police he met the girl during the NIBROC (Ni – Brock) festival and offered her a job as a babysitter. The girl accepted the job and during her second day babysitting, McCafferty said they watched a movie and had sex.

The girl said she was contacted several times by McCafferty and she repeatedly ignored his requests to go back. She eventually told her mother, who called KSP.

McCafferty is charged with rape, sodomy and sexual abuse.

Kentucky State Police arrested a woman on drug charges after she allegedly fired shots into the ground outside her boyfriend’s residence.

Geneva Marie Rhymer, 42, of Coalgood, was arrested on Tuesday by Kentucky State Police Trooper Sidney Wagner.

According to the citation, police responded to a report of shots being fired at Point Lane. When police arrived, Rhymer was located outside her boyfriend’s residence. She stated she was talking to a woman on Facebook Messenger.

While speaking with the woman about her boyfriend’s car, Rhymer fired a shot into the ground with a handgun in an attempt to scare the woman. Wagner located a small white container with two plastic baggies inside. One of the baggies contained a crystal substance and the other contained a white powder. A glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine was also located.
